VBW offers a range of wire-strippers. Starting with the classic wire-stripper right through to professional models with automatic gauge setting.
Basically, a wire-stripper is a tool that simplifies the stripping of insulation to expose the wire core. The aim of the tool is to remove the plastic or rubber insulating sheath in such a way that the wire core itself is not damaged.
The classic wire-stripper has a round or V-shaped cutter opening that does not fully close. The size of this opening can be set using the knurled knob and is then set to the gauge of the wire being stripped.
The automatic wire-strippers, on the other hand, adjust themselves to the outer diameter of the wire. Squeezing the handles then scores the sheathing and pulls it off in a single coordinated action.
